The Transparency, Accountability and Equity in the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution (TRAE_C19VD) Project seeks to promote transparency, accountability and equity in the distribution of the COVID -19 Vaccines in Zambia. Through our interventions, it is anticipated that the project will contribute towards promoting transparency, accountability and equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. The project will work in collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure collective action and concerted efforts to strengthen the COVID-19 vaccines distribution system in Zambia.
To better understand as well as effectively contribute to the Zambia National COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment Strategy; TI-Z will conduct an assessment of the vaccines distribution system. The assessment will target seven districts namely, Lusaka, Chipata, Katete, Petauke Kazungula, Livingstone and Choma. Based on the assessment, TI-Z anticipates contributing to the COVID-19 response in Zambia by playing a third-party monitoring role. This will be the basis of our recommendations to the Ministry of Health so as to support strengthening of the COVID-19 vaccine distribution system
The Transparency and Accountability in the COVID-19 Response in Zambia (TRA_C19) Project seeks to increase Transparency, Accountability and Integrity (TAI) in the supply chain of donated resources for the COVID-19 response. The project is funded by the World Bank and works with the Ministry of Health, Civil Society and journalists to enhance oversight of COVID-19 spending by supporting citizen’s monitoring of the COVID-19 response. The project also uses the existing TI-Z complaint management mechanism to ensure complaints and concerns raised by citizens are channelled to the relevant authorities and Law Enforcement Agencies
Adaptive Risk-Based Approaches to Anti-Corruption in COVID-19 Responses (ARBAC-19) seeks to reduce corruption risks in COVID-19 emergency response funding through tailor-made anti-corruption interventions. ARBAC-19 is being implemented in up to 11 countries, working to strengthen key institutions and accountability mechanisms at national and multilateral levels. The project aims to reduce the scope of corruption across relevant state institutions and sectors of the economy, and hold corrupt actors accountable for abuse of COVID-19 related support.
